This is a mint condition collector plate from the Lenox International Victorian Santa Claus
Plate collection. This is the first plate in the series and was issued in 1992. The plates
are fine bone china, trimmed in 24K gold, dated on the front, and hand numbered on the back.
They are 8 1/4 inches in diameter.
The subject matter for each plate is a Santa Claus from a specific country.
This particular plate is Kris Kringle who originated in Germany and Austria and travelled to the United States.
This plate is in perfect condition - no chips, cracks, or restorations. It has never been
displayed or used.
The back of the plate is printed in 24K gold and contains identifying information, including a unique hand applied number. It also contains
a two paragraph description of the history and traditions around the particular Santa Claus that is the subject of
the plate.
This series of plates is not intended to be used for food service and is for display only.
